The Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin C Crème Review ... Cheapest Of The Cheap!

Updated: Sep 2, 2019

So I was at the Vitamin Shoppe one day picking up my BioSil, (amazing product by the way!), and discovered that they had their own line of #skincare. With my love for #skincare I was intrigued to see what this was all about. I found that they had products ranging from creams to serums and Vitamin C to Retinol. Of all their products I was most interested in trying the Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin C Crème. I didn't really have a reason for that decision but I'm glad I made it. I will say the price is ridiculously cheap. It is the cheapest product that I have in my #skincare routine. I use this product in a special way, which I will discuss later in this post, but let's first talk about it's ingredients

The Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin C Crème comes in a 2 oz jar which will last you a long time. The cream itself is more jelly like than creamy but it absorbs really well. The product doesn't require refrigeration so you can just keep it with your other products. With that being said, you still want to make sure your storage space isn't too hot because I have seen it turn watery in certain conditions. The product's claim is that it firms and brightens. That is typically what you would expect from a Vitamin C treatment.

INGREDIENT LIST

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

NOTE: This should be step 4 of your morning #skincare routine. ONLY use this product in the morning!

1. I recommend using this product as part of a cocktail. Vitamin C serum is my recommendation for you morning #skincare routine and mixing it with this Vitamin C cream will help it absorb better. It essentially makes your serum more effective. Fill the provided syringe of the Seoul Ceuticals Day Glow Vitamin C Serum 1/3 the way up and then pour it out into the palm of your hand.

2. Do 2 pumps of Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence into your palm.

3. Take a dime-sized amount of the Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin C Crème and then mix it into the cocktail by rubbing the hands together.

4. Apply the cocktail to the face and neck using upward swiping motions. Do circular rubbing motions on the places of the face that need the most treatment. Pat/press against the face to help the remaining serum absorb.

MY RESULTS

I can't really speak to whether this product works solely by itself or not. I've only used it 2 weeks independently and that's really not enough time to give an accurate assessment. I will say that this product works really well as part of my cocktail. My cocktail started with just Vitamin C serum and Snail. When I added this I feel like it gave the cocktail that extra kick it was missing. It has vitamin C in it and mixing it with a serum also containing that takes it to the next level.

In conclusion, Vitamin C is a must in a #skincare routine. Whether it is a serum or cream or both, it is the one product that really protects your face from daily pollutants. My recommendation is that you use the Vitamin Shoppe Vitamin C Crème as part of a cocktail and not on it's own. It's ingredient list isn't as power as the Seoul Ceuticals Day Glow Vitamin C Serum so you likely won't get the results you are looking for. Using these 2 products together along with Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence will give you that bright, even-toned, and firm face you are looking for!

STAMP OF APPROVAL: YES (As part of a cocktail)
